Becoming a “Key Partner” with the Thai-Chinese Students Association

The Thai-Chinese Students Association, led by Dr. Orasa Rattanamoraphirom, Advisor to the Association, attended the celebration of the 76th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China, which was held in a grand and cordial atmosphere.
The event was attended by numerous distinguished guests from both Thailand and China. The celebration was presided over by H.E. Mr. Zhang Jianwei, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Thailand, together with Madam Miao Haiyan, Spouse of the Ambassador. They were joined by Mr. Wu Zhiwu, Minister-Counsellor, Mr. Zhao Mengtao, Counsellor for Political, Information, and Public Diplomacy Affairs, and Ms. Xu Lan, Counsellor for Education Affairs, who warmly welcomed all the honored guests. The ceremony was further graced by the presence of H.E. Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister of Thailand, who attended the event and delivered congratulatory remarks.

H.E. Mr. Zhang Jianwei, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Thailand, delivered a speech highlighting China’s remarkable progress and its vital role on the global stage. He also reaffirmed China’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Thailand in all dimensions, with the shared goal of building a “Community with a Shared Future” that is both stable and sustainable.

H.E. Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister of Thailand, commended China’s significant progress and its vital contribution to global peace and prosperity. He emphasized that “Thailand and China are as close as one family,” noting that their shared cultural and historical roots form a strong foundation for the long-standing friendship between the two nations.

Distinguished Thai guests in attendance included H.E. Mr. Bowornsak Uwanno, Deputy Prime Minister; H.E. Mr. Mongkol Surasajja, President of the Senate; H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Narongsak Buddhaprommongkol, Chairman of the Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce; H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, former Deputy Prime Minister; Khunying Sudarat Keyuraphan, Leader of the Thai Sang Thai Party; Mr. Thanakorn Seriburi, Senior Vice Chairman of the Charoen Pokphand Group; and Mr. Thapana Sirivadhanabhakdi, Chief Executive Officer of Thai Beverage Public Company Limited, among many other esteemed guests.
This event was not only a celebration of China’s National Day, but also a symbol of the enduring friendship between Thailand and China, a bond that continues to flourish across generations. The Thai-Chinese Students Association reaffirms its commitment to fostering connection and mutual understanding among Thai and Chinese youth, upholding its guiding principle that “We are the future of Thailand–China relations.”
